Tag - How much is your face worth?

Hello my Dears!

Having cleared out and re-organised my make up storage last weekend (post on the finished result coming soon), I thought I'd do this tag.

If you have not seen this tag before - the idea is that you list the products you use for a certain look and add up the total to determine how much your face is worth.

I'm going to total up a neutral, daytime look.

This is a bit of a shocker considering that approximately 75% of the products are drugstore/highstreet level!

(To be fair though I based this calculation on a full face and I could have gone and totally blown it out of the water if I'd used Urban Decay or The Balm eyeshadow...)

I'd love to see your "How much is face worth?" post so consider yourself tagged!

Thanks so much for reading this post and have a great day!

(Mini) Shoe Haul - Miss L-Fire

Hello my Dears

A couple of days ago I ordered a beautiful pair of shoes from  the Miss L-Fire's website (click here).

The delivery information said approx. 5 days for UK delivery so I was very pleasantly surprised when they arrived two days later - I love me a prompt service!

All their designs are vintage-inspired and the gorgeous packing reflects this!

Upon opening the shoe box I was greeted with a lovely, fabric shoe bag (showcasing the company logo) to protect my fabulous, new purchase during storage or when travelling.

And here is the first glimpse of the amazing design!

The pretty 1940s inspired design with the typical platform sole is made of soft, black suede.

I adore the ankle-strap design (no "shoe slipping of foot" incidents) and the knotted bow with gold detailing on the toe of the shoe.

And I just simply adore the intricate, gold, laser cut design adorning the heels and the platform sole - this makes these shoes really special to me!

They are really easy to wear, fit great and feel really comfy!

Design:
Pandora

Colour:
black

Price:
£59.99
(down from £104.99)

They are available here (and though the black colour is now sold out, they are still available in red, blue and orange).

Now I got these on sale but based on the quality and fit I would have been happy to pay the full price (and really bargains you would have been happy to pay full price for are the best ones).

I have bookmarked the Miss L-Fire website and I'm sure I'll be back!

Statement Shoes - .... and as black as the wood of the window-frame!

It may be spring but sometimes only a pair of the blackest shoes will suffice to express my style appropriately!

(I'll leave the pastels to somebody else for now.)

Neutral Palette Perfection - Mirror, Mirror on the Wall who is the fairest of them all?

I was always a single - not even duo- eyeshadow girl till I discovered blogs, blogging and the YouTube beauty community and now I have discovered my love for eyeshadow palette!

Wearable and flattering eyeshadow shades are a must for me and after loving my Urban Decay Naked 2 palette to bits, I have my sights firmly set on the other three beauties to add to my collection!
Neutral Palette Perfection

The shades wear beautifully and it is really easy to create an array of looks ranging from the super natural to the super dramatic!

I have admired this palette in various YouTube reviews for its sleek packaging and gorgeous collection of shades (damn you Sephora for suddenly making it easily accessible for us UK-based make up lovers!).

This collection of warm, rosy neutrals really appeals to me and I have heard great things about the quality of the Lorac eyeshadows. I wish UK department stores stocked this brand but one does live in hope!

The gothic packaging speaks to my inner Goth and those neutral shades look divine!
(It also appears to be a travel-friendly size).

What's your favourite neutral palette?

Iconic Beauty

There is in my opinion a type of beauty which transcends time and fashions and which I find hugely inspirational!

The below speak for themselves and being faced with such elegant, timeless beauty helps me to focus on enduring beautiful style rather than fleeting fashion.

(It also makes you contemplate the luck of the gene pool...).

Beauty for me is defined by clear lines and simple style!

Product Focus #1 - Physicians Formula

Physicians Formula Mineralize Bronzer Happy Booster Shimmer Strips Organic Mascara
My Physicians Formula products
Hello My Dears

Over the last couple of months I have been fortunate enough to be able to try out a couple of Physicians Formula products due to my US Beauty Swap and thought I share my initial thoughts on the brand with you.

Physicians Formula Mineralize Bronzer Happy Booster Shimmer Strips Organic Mascara
Pretty powder products (and one mascara)

When watching YouTube videos and reading blogs I was always inevitably drawn to the super pretty Physicians Formula products with its embossed powders and cutely shaped tubes and containers.  I just felt that surely something that looked so pretty would in turn be fantastic to turn yourself into a prettified version.

Physicians Formula Mineralize Bronzer Happy Booster Shimmer Strips Organic Mascara

The Shimmer Strips in "Natural Nude" come in very cute packaging indeed - creamy coloured satin with a black lace/fishnet overlay complete with a little satin bow framing the 9 shades.

The colours contained in this purse- and travel-friendly palette range from a darkish brown right through to a white, shimmery highlighter shade.  As expected from a palette named "Shimmer Strips" all shadows are shimmery and it does not contain any matte shades.

The shadows apply very nicely and are easy to blend.  They are super soft and have a very smooth texture which is not powdery at all.

I think they are fantastic for you if you - like me - love soft eyeshadow looks.

Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin Jumbo Lash Mascara

This mascara is very black, creates good separation and goes on smoothly without clumping.  It gives a natural yet beautifully enhanced look to my lashes.

I don't even want to think about this running out as I might have to go down the Ebay or Amazon route to repurchase!

The mascara wand consists of short, rubber bristles and it makes application easy for me.  I've had not problems with my contact lenses so far which is always a plus!

A great mascara!

Mineral-Wear Talc-Free Minearl Airbrushing Bronzer SPF30

I love this bronzer! It applies evenly and creates a natural, light bronzed look which is just right for my pale skin.

There is a tiny amount of shimmer visible in the pan. However, I do find this does not translate on to my skin and bronzer does apply pretty much matte on me.

I have used this for all-over bronzing and for contouring and was really happy with it for both!

L - R:  Happy Booster Glow & Mood Boosting Blush in "Pink" & "Natural"

I have got these super pretty blushes in the shades "Pink" and "Natural". I received "Pink" as part of my US Swap and because I loved it so much, I braved Amazon and got it in the shade "Natural" as well.

"Pink"

Now I can't say anything about the alleged Mood boosting ingredients... (being of a slightly cynic disposition this is probably just some marketing bampf...).  However, the pretty, embossed powder blushes kind of do a great job of cheering me up in the morning.

"Natural"

Both blushes give a gorgeous glow to the cheeks! As they are nicely shimmery I can skip my normal cheekbone highlighter.

The blush in "Pink" swirls together to create a pretty, cool-toned pink, while "Natural" is a nice, peachy colour.  These blushes are not super pigmented but show up nicely on my pale skin and are easily buildable!

My Verdict

I love all the Physicians Formula products I have tried and I'm really impressed with their face powders.  It would be amazing if Physicians Formula launched in the UK as their product selection looks amazing and I'd definitively love to try out more of their range in the future.

Which Physicians Formula products do you recommend?
